Nicki Yowell

Nicki is a lifelong enthusiast of all things print. She’s been writing ever since her childhood years at the helm of The Nicki News, a slightly factual personal periodical. After acquiring her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism, she spent time writing for publications like the A.V. Club and Gapers Block in Chicago. She also founded Self-Publishers of Chicago, a collaborative writing group.

Since moving to Portland, Oregon, several years ago, Nicki has stayed busy helping local businesses like Indigo with everything from creating their newsletter content to organizing fun outreach events. She also can be found darting around the Pacific Northwest looking for awesome watering holes for Sip NW Magazine. When she’s not writing or self-publishing, Nicki enjoys scouring the country for the best slice of pizza and adapting dinner recipes based on the contents of her fridge.
