Luis Ramos

Luis Ramos is a book designer based in Portland, OR. He holds a BA in English Literature and an MS in Book Publishing. His design work spans a diverse range of clients, including Atmosphere Press, Red Hen Press, Trio House Press, Laurel Elite Books, Unencumbered Press, Reverberations Books, and various indie authors. He has also worked as a curriculum designer at Friendzy, where he designed workbooks and teaching guides for K–8 education and translated them into Spanish.

Luis is a proud graduate of the 2026 Lettering Seminar, and his love of typography is reflected throughout his work.

A nerd at heart, Luis loves all things pop culture, especially horror movies that are more than just about jump scares. He is also a writer, primarily writing short science fiction with elements of his Mexican culture woven into his stories.
